Strippers & Paint Removers
Strippers, commonly known as paint removers, are chemical solutions designed to effectively remove paint, coatings, and other finishes from various surfaces. These products work by breaking down the bonds between the paint and the substrate, allowing the coating to be lifted or dissolved for easy removal. Strippers are typically formulated with solvents and other active ingredients that penetrate the paint layers, making them suitable for use on wood, metal, masonry, and certain plastics. Depending on the formulation, paint strippers can target a wide range of coatings, from water-based and oil-based paints to varnishes, lacquers, and epoxies. They are commonly used in refinishing, restoration, and maintenance projects to prepare surfaces for repainting or refinishing. AMCS coating strippers are sold under the tradename StripShield.
